The MT603FG is the new GME EPIRB which stands at the top of the range, with automatic activation (category 1), 66-channel GPS and the predisposition to operate with the satellites of the new MEOSAR constellation.
The MT603FG housed in an enclosure with a door that opens automatically when the hydrostatic hook senses water pressure. At that moment the EPIRB is thrown out of the casing and once it has risen to the surface it activates the transmission of the emergency signal. This mechanism is the result of decades of study by GME to ensure its perfect functioning even in not particularly easy conditions.
The use of the new MEOSAR satellite constellation ensures that the COSPAS-SARSAT rescue coordination is able to detect the position of the shipwrecked with precision, even if it has not been able to detect the GPS coordinates from the distress message sent by the EPIRB .
The high intensity strobe, the zero warm-up technology and the simple test procedure complete the set of prerogatives of this top EPIRB for its functioning guarantees and ease of use in times of emergency.
