The Boss Marine MGV550B is not only a dashboard stereo , but a real multimedia center, from which we can not only scan our songs, but also view the videos related to them or any other video we want to launch from our smartphone.
The 5 touchscreen display, for such a minute device, is really generous and helps us a lot in setting up the various functions and settings. However, there are also well-sized keys and a knob, to proceed with our settings in a more precise and immediate way.
The audio quality is the usual one to which Boss Marine has always accustomed us, with a power of 60 W for 4 channels and 3 PRE-AMP outputs which demonstrate its predisposition to work even with a separate amplifier and, drawing on Boss Marine components, in this way it will be possible to compose a complete on-board system, capable of surprising even the most pretentious.
The MGV550B is optimized to operate with our smartphone via bluetooth with a particularly easy and immediate connection. However, thanks to the numerous ports available, we can connect it with a very wide range of devices. In fact we have available an A/V input, 2 videos, an SD card slot, a USB input and an AUX . However, it should be noted that the USB and AUX connectors are present in the rear part of the stereo , therefore if we wish to use them, they must be brought back to the dashboard using the separate MUSB35 accessory.
The possibility of connecting a camera is very useful, for example to monitor the engine room, or to have an extra view during maneuvering
